One-Day Crown Procedure

The first step in the CEREC® crown procedure is to prepare the tooth. Our dentist removes all tooth decay and opens the tooth section to be more expansive than the base. Then, an impression is created using a covering of titanium dust. This dust allows the camera to capture a detailed picture of the tooth. The dentist will view the tooth from every angle and design the final restoration. When the design is complete, it is transmitted to the milling unit. The dentist chooses a ceramic block that matches the teeth' color for a seamless look.

Crown Placement

After only fifteen minutes, the full crown, onlay, overlay, or veneer is complete. The restoration is made of compressed porcelain for added strength and durability. Before permanent placement, the dentist will place the crown dry to ensure it fits correctly. The dental crown is polished and attached to the tooth with dental cement. The procedure is now finished, without the need for a second visit! The quality of the results is the same as waiting on a laboratory-generated restoration, saving a significant deal of time and money.
